Deception Pass is at the northern end of Whidbey Island.

My sister and I got a bit adventurous and climbed on a very tall tree that had fallen. We talked about climbing it to the top but decided it would be too difficult for Joe to retrieve us if we fell off the tree. The tree had a wide trunk and had nicely placed branches so it was fairly easy to walk on.

It was interesting to watch the mixing of the currents.

All day we could see snowcapped mountains off in the distance. What beauty!
