July 4th - More Pictures

July 4th was a day full of color. Along with the red, white, and blue associated with the parade, the colors of the sky and flowers seemed to be extra vibrant. Everything seemed extra alive that day - a glorious sight and feeling!

This was the main entry arch to the junior high school. The school was built in 1932 and demolished in 1987. The arch was moved from another place on this property and now serves as the entry to Heritage Park. Source

Look closely - there's an eagle in the top of this tree at Heritage Park.
Wonder if it's the same eagle that nested there last year. Read more here.
Many boaters came to town for the 4th of July festivities

Olympic Mountains as seen from near our house. I've never been able to capture how magnificent the mountains are (on a clear day when they are visible). The road patches, wires, and camera properties get in the way of the awesome sight of these mountains. Some days it's a breathtaking view.
