We Have Come To The Place ...

This week's Sunday School lesson includes John 14 and 16 where Christ instructs on the mission of the Holy Ghost/Spirit/Comforter. I was reading additional scriptures when I came across one that had expanded meaning in light of our recent move across country.

"....... for thou hast inquired of me, and behold, as often as thou hast inquired thou hast received instruction of my Spirit. If it had not been so, thou wouldst not have come to the place where thou art at this time. (Doctrine & Covenants 6:14)

Yep! We're in Kirkland, Washington. We indeed would not have "come to the place where [we] art at this time" if we hadn't felt guided here by the Holy Ghost spoken of by Christ in John 14 & 16. We prayed often and mightily about this move, talked about it, prayed some more, and then moved.

"Did I not speak peace to your mind concerning the matter? What greater witness can you have than from God?" Doctrine & Covenants 6:23  Indeed we have felt great peace with our decision. And we have had many experiences in our short time here that confirm we were following the Lord's counsel.
