Example

Christ often used parables when He taught. Sometimes the meaning is obvious, other times we have to ponder a bit to figure out what we are to learn. The account in John 13 is interesting because He is very plain spoken about what He wants the disciples to learn. 

After washing the feet of his twelve disciples, Christ said,

"Know ye what I have done to you?... I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you." 

"If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them." 

We are to follow Christ's example of serving each other. We will be happy if we do.
