This is a keepsake. Or we could call it a legacy plant.
It's my mother's Christmas cactus - still blooming beautifully
every year around Christmas.
My mother died in 2003 and my sister took over the care of the plant. We don't recall when Mom got this cactus so we don't know how old it is. We know it's at least a decade old. My sister inherited her green thumb from our mother.
