Tall Ships in Kirkland

Lady Washington is this state's official ship. She was in Kirkland the end of August for several days. The Hawaiian Chieftain, another historic tall ship, joined her.

Michael joined us at Marina Park for his birthday lunch.
We watched the tall ships and enjoyed time together in this beautiful setting.

A few nights later we were driving and noticed the tall ships out on the lake.
We stopped at Houghton Beach Park and watched as the sun set.

both tall ships
light - clouds - water
awesome
The tall ships were joined by kayakers, standup paddleboarders, people in speedboats and some in smaller sailboats. Occasionally a seaplane few overhead.
Look very closely & you can see the tall ships framed by this sculpture titled "Winter" in Hougton Beach Park
