I grew up knowing about Christ but not giving much thought about Him. He didn't have much relevance in my everyday life. My thinking, studying, pondering about Christ didn't begin until 1981 when the missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints knocked on our door and said they had a message to deliver. They asked questions, read the Bible with us, introduced us to the Book of Mormon, counseled us to pray, and showed us how important it is to think often and deeply about God and His Son - and then act on what we've learned and felt.
Around Easter we hear much about Christ. The challenge is to keep Christ in our thoughts and actions throughout the year.
"... Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son." Indeed - God be thanked.
