Solemnities of Eternity

"... Treasure these things up in your hearts, 

and let the solemnities of eternity rest upon your minds."*

 “From the days of the Old Testament, the Lord has commanded His people to build temples - sacred structures where He could teach, guide, and bless them…temples are the most sacred place on earth - a place where earth and heaven meet and where we feel close to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ."~

I love being able to step out of the world and into the temple, the House of the Lord. In the temple we learn and we serve. We are reminded who we are, why we are here, and where we are going after this life. We experience the "solemnities of eternity." 

One evening we exited from the physical and spiritual light in the temple into the darkness of the night. With this photo I tried to capture the beauty of the cherry blossoms with the light of the temple.
