Lesson From A Leaf

I trimmed this vine. 

After a while I noticed a new leaf forming near the cut. 

You can see the beginning of the new leaf on the bottom left in the picture below.
It took months and months for the new leaf to fully form and unfurl. Every time I passed the plant I thought about the symbolism. 

Sometimes we encounter major events in our lives - it may be a move; it may be a job situation, health challenge, relationship complexities - all sorts of things happen during our journeys on earth. 

Adjusting to, moving on, and learning from major events takes time, sometimes a very long time. In addition to time, this plant needed water and light to help it sprout new growth. We can make sure our lives are filled with people and things that help us deal with challenges and grow from our experiences.
