The Holy Ghost is one of the greatest gifts given to us by God. He teaches, guides, comforts, and bears witness of the truth. It’s difficult to articulate how the Spirit communicates and how we know when something is from the Spirit. Here’s Joseph Fielding Smith’s explanation of the power of a message from the Holy Spirit.
“The Spirit of God speaking to the spirit of man has power to impart truth with greater effect and understanding than the truth can be imparted by personal contact even with heavenly beings. Through the Holy Ghost the truth is woven into the very fibre and sinews of the body so that it cannot be forgotten.” Joseph Fielding Smith
I am deeply grateful for some experiences in which the message, truth, was felt throughout my whole body. Those special communications cannot be forgotten.
