Slow of Heart

“Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken”  Luke 24:25

Slow of heart – When and why am I slow of heart? Slow to believe God and all that the prophets have spoken? Slow to respond to the need of a stranger or a loved one? Slow to do what the Spirit has prompted me to do?

When I’m slow, is it because I’m tired? Because I’m not paying attention? Because I’m focused on myself and my own needs or wants? Because I’m taken on too much?

Sometimes I’m “slow” because there’s only so much time in a day and there is a limit to what I can do. If I pay attention to the Spirit, I can receive help with my priorities and knowing if I need to quicken certain responses.
