Montana - Family

One of our granddaughters accompanied us on a trip to Montana to visit Carol and Patrick. We didn't see David this trip because he was out of town on business.

Monday evening we stayed in Missoula and visited with daughter-in-law Carol
Dinner at Biga Pizza - delicious
Caras Park is in downtown Missoula
It's a beautiful setting along the Clark Fork River

Our son Patrick lives and works in the Polaris, Montana area.

Our granddaughter had to read "Woodsong" by Gary Paulsen before school started. We took turns reading aloud as we traveled. We learned quite a bit about sled dogs and the Iditarod.

On the way home we stopped in Waterville, Washington to stretch our legs.

Our car is old enough to have a tape player.
We enjoyed listening to "The Aldrich Family" radio programs.

This HUGE flag is on Route 2 just east of Leavenworth, Washington
There was still snow in the mountains near Stevens Pass on Route 2 going west
Orchards abound in the Wenatchee River valley
These crates wait to be filled with apples

Madison is a good artist
She drew this for Grandpa "Toad" (a name he sometimes uses for himself)
