RootsTech was a wonderful experience
People came from 50 states and 40+ countries
minutes before registration opened for thousands of people
who were eager to spend days learning about technology & genealogy
350+ classes
waiting for the exhibit hall to open
a family tree
Many of the vendors offered mini-classes in the exhibit hall
If you look closely you'll see people trying out mobile apps mentioned by the speaker
The Demo Theater featured comfy chairs, a new presentation every half hour, drawing for a prize at the end of each presentation, and a circulating basket of candy
Convention center food was expensive - $2 for a banana & $10 for a funnel cake! This sample was set out to tempt people. I resisted the temptation.
